Connecting your Instagram Business or Creator account to Spotlight via Instagram is a straightforward process that allows you to display your Instagram feed seamlessly on your WordPress site. This guide will walk you through the steps to connect your account using Instagram directly.

Step 1: Switch to Professional Account (Creator or Business)

The first step is to switch your Instagram account from a Personal to a Professional account, if you haven't already. If you’re unsure how to do this, you can follow this step-by-step guide.

Step 2: Connect the Instagram Account to Spotlight

The next step is to connect your Instagram account to Spotlight. Connecting your Instagram account with Spotlight requires a few simple steps.

  1. Click on any connect button in Spotlight.

  2. When provided with the option, click on the "Basic (connect via Instagram)" button.

  3. A popup from Instagram appears that asks you to log in to your Instagram account. Enter your username/email and password, and click on the "Log In" button.

  4. When prompted to provide access to your Instagram account to Spotlight, click "Allow".

  5. That's it. Your Creator Instagram account is now connected to Spotlight. When creating a feed and selecting this account as your source, the feed preview will automatically start importing your posts.
